My goal in writing a daily post on gratitude is to make a conscious decision to focus on the good in my life. But sometimes my desire for optimism falls short and I have a day I just can’t wait to end.

On days like this I try to look forward, to focus on the future. New days bring an opportunity to start over. New days give us the opportunity to try again. We aren’t held by the clutches of yesterday. We can choose to make this day better.

I’m grateful for today.
