This morning I asked my daughter if she wanted to read a book. She grabbed mine off the shelf and said she wanted to read it by herself.

After she read it aloud for almost five minutes, I pulled out my phone.

Me: “What are you reading?”

Her: “What?”

Me: “What are you reading?”

Her: “I’m reading Not Your Parents’ Workplace”

Me: “How is it?”

Her: “Pretty much not that good*”

If you ever need a dose of humility, spend time with kids.

I am grateful for the honesty of children.
